Moranbah State School was established in 1971 to serve the mining community of Moranbah. Throughout the years Moranbah has continued to be a hub for the mining families however, a variety of our families are now from diverse backgrounds and work pathways.
Our school is supported by the mining companies and local businesses from financial contributions to support learning and development programs to in-kind support, on the ground help and connections. Our families have a strong connection with the school which is demonstrated through the volunteer work in classrooms and the P&C and member commitment.
