Parents and the broader community play a vital role in supporting successful learning outcomes for our children.

Effective communication between schools, parents, the community and students forms the foundation in developing and maintaining partnerships.
Communication about student progress
At Moranbah State School, we provide many formal and informal opportunities for parents to find out about their children's progress at school.
Some of these include:
Reports on student performance are issued twice per year.
Parent teacher interviews occur after terms one, two and three.
Teachers email parents regarding general class information and specific student issues.
Parents are always welcome to make an appointment with their child’s teacher. Teachers are unavailable for parent meetings between 8.45 am and 9.00 am, as this is when they are preparing their classrooms and students for learning. To contact your child’s teacher, please call the
school office.

Our weekly parades are held on Thursday at 2:15 pm and parents are very welcome to attend.
Becoming involved
Parents can be involved in a range of school activities such as assisting in the classroom, attending school events, assisting in the tuckshop and becoming involved in the Parents and Citizen’s Association. Everyone is welcome.
