Students in P-3 are
scheduled a time with a specialist teacher to visit the library and borrow and
return books each week. They may also
spend time in the library learning about how the library works or doing literature
appreciation activities. Years 4-6 are
scheduled a time during the week to visit the library with their classroom
teacher for the borrowing and returning of resources. Teachers can also use the library at other
times throughout the week as a breakout space for small groups etc.

Library Bags
Lost or Damaged Books
If you cannot find a book we encourage you to check places such as classrooms, bookshelves at home or even under beds as lost books can often be found hiding in these places. If you have had a good look and still can't find it please come and talk to the library staff and we can double check the library shelves to help try and find it.
If you discover a book is damaged or destroyed please come and talk to the library staff, we may have suggestions to offer on the best way to care for a damaged book.
If an item is lost, damaged or destroyed our policy is that an invoice will be issued to allow us to purchase a replacement. Once the invoice has been paid the student will be able to recommence borrowing. If the item is found after payment has been made, the borrower is welcome to keep that item as it is likely that a replacement for the library has already been purchased. Depending on the circumstances, this fee may be waived. For example we may decide to waive the fee and decide to write-off the book without penalty, especially if the book is near the end of its useful life.
